Grinning Face will make you smile

For a tasty new take on gelato, visit the ladies at Grinning Face in Toronto’s popular Cabbagetown neighbourhood. Instead of cow’s milk, proprietors Keo Williamson and Julie Phokeo use milk from the finest coconuts going. With a medieval-looking steel press, they crush the shells and extract the coconut pulp on-site. The silky, richly flavoured gelato that results is worth the effort. The coconut and seasonal ingredients from our market  combine to produce a dairy-free delight that’s second to none!
